The history given gives a good background for being able to understand
the people. There are brief overviews of trade, the economy, and

This web site is a travel information site for a multitude of Spanish
speaking countries. The site had good information about political
strife and areas to avoid. It also has brief sections on culture and
history. The site also covers the approximate cost of accommodations.

This site has vast amounts of information pertaining to the human
geography of Colombia. The Economy link has information on the crops
grown as well as imports and exports. The people link has information
on the population of Colombia, including literacy rates and minority
statistics. The site does have numerous "pop ups" that detract from the
viewing experience.
